Confined Groundwater Body
A volume of groundwater generally with higher pressure than atmospheric pressure, as it is isolated from the surface of the ground by an impermeable geological formation. The same body may have an unconfined and a confined section. Confined bodies are often deep, even very deep (1,000m and over).
